In this session, we will explore the board chair’s role as a catalyst for engagement and morale. Participants will consider practical strategies for fostering a shared sense of purpose, encouraging curiosity and diverse perspectives in board conversations, and demonstrating appreciation for the contributions of individual trustees.

Chairs will leave with practical approaches for creating a board culture where trustees feel valued, connected to meaningful work, and energized by their service—fostering a sense of purpose and even joy in governance, including during the board’s most challenging conversations.
