Governance is nuanced, and board chairs and heads of school often face uncertainty about which issues warrant board-level engagement – particularly when navigating major decisions and policy oversight. This session introduces ISCA’s new Governance in Partnership framework, designed to help chairs and heads evaluate matters through the lens of key governance responsibilities and bring clarity to the board’s fiduciary responsibilities. Board chairs will learn how to use this tool to reduce uncertainty, strengthen communication, and reinforce a healthy board–head partnership—ultimately leading to more strategic and effective governance.
