The memorialization and documentation of the work of the Board is unfortunately an area that is often left to chance. Bylaws, Board minutes, committee reports and the other documents created as part of the board’s work are all necessary materials that boards are obligated to maintain and can support the school in times of crises. Many of these documents are necessary to establish a defense in the case of a legal charge. We have invited Caryn Pass to discuss board documents and documentation and the strategies for creating and maintaining them in a legally compliant and strategic manner.
